Our Story
Rushmer Woodworking is a local contractor specializing in high-end cabinetry and finish carpentry. In October of 2001, after more than a decade of woodworking experience, Jamie Rushmer became licensed as a specialty contractor and began doing business as Rushmer Woodworking. During the following year, as a result of satisfied customers who were asking for different types of work, Jamie expanded his license to become a general contractor. Since that time, Rushmer Woodworking has been busy building and installing residential and commercial cabinetry, completing all types of finish work, installing laminate and much more.
Rushmer Woodworking is a home-based business, focusing on constructing and installing high-quality products in a timely manner. Rushmer Woodworking maintains a high standard of quality in all aspects of construction, down to the smallest details.
Jamie became interested in woodworking early on, and in high school was awarded first place in a statewide Vocational Industrial Clubs of America woodworking competition, and then traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to compete nationally. Since that time Jamie has worked in various construction and woodworking jobs, including as a liner assembly man for Tollycraft Yachts in Kelso, as a professional finish carpenter for Interior Finishing Specialists in the Lake Tahoe area, and as a local cabinet shop foreman for Remodeling and Restoration Services.
